Barbara A. Ryan, a 1989 graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law, concentrates her practice in the area of Health Care Law and is a registered nurse. Ms. Ryan is a past President of the New York Women's Bar Association and serves on the boards of directors of the Association of Healthcare Risk Management of New York and the New York Women's Bar Association Foundation. She also serves as chair of the United Hospital Fund New Leadership Group and is a co-chair and faculty Coordinator of the Health Care Risk Management Program at the New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies. In addition she is on the faculty of New York Medical College. Prior to beginning her legal career, she was a head nurse at New York Hospital - Cornell Medical Center specializing in oncology and medical nursing.
