Walsy K. Saez Aguirre is a litigation associate, who represents automobile manufacturers in complex product liability matters, and hospitals and physicians in complex medical malpractice cases. She is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Walsy earned her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 2015, where she was a member of the International Law Journal, and a Pro Bono Scholar for the Consumer Litigation Clinic and the New York Legal Assistance Group Consumer Protection Unit. Walsy’s pro bono work during law school earned her the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award, magna cum laude, for over 500 hours of pro bono work. While in law school, Walsy also worked as a summer law clerk for Clifford Chance LLP, in São Paulo, Brazil, where she obtained experience in cross-border commercial transactions, and interned with the corporate law team of Peixoto e Cury Advogados, a mid-sized Brazilian law firm, where she assisted foreign companies and nonprofit organizations seeking to operate in Brazil. She also served as a law clerk at a plaintiff’s-side employment law firm, where she helped represent employees in discrimination cases and assisted in advising clients in contract negotiations.

Before joining ARFD in October 2016, Walsy was an associate at a New York litigation and arbitration boutique firm, where she represented businesses and individuals in international commercial disputes involving contract law, shareholders’ rights, corporation law, partnerships and business torts. Walsy served as a Board Member and Co-Chair of the Community Outreach Committee of the Dominican Bar Association, and was a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee of the New York City Bar Association.

Walsy has a Master of Science in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is a language and culture enthusiast, and is fluent in Spanish and proficient in French and Portuguese.
